Shared Resources' Recycle Bin
How can you help put technology into the hands of charities, schools, and underprivileged families; receive a tax deduction; and get rid of your old computer hardware, all at the same time? Donate them to SharedResources’ Recycle Bin!
Shared Resources’ Recycle Bin is a non-profit program designed to redeploy donated systems to help provide otherwise underprivileged people the basics in computer technology: word processing, spreadsheets, e-mail, database management, and Internet access. It is one of Shared Resources' ways of giving back to the community.
Shared Resources will repair and recycle your donated computers and give them to someone who can use them. The program works as follows. Contact us, and let us know what kinds of computer equipment you wish to donate. We accept donations of used, but usable, computer technology. We will arrange to pick-up or receive your computers. They will be taken to our work center hosted by the Town of Cornelius, in the Town Hall. They will be repaired by both paid and volunteer technicians, mostly employees of SharedResources. People and organizations in need will then receive your donation. It is as simple as that.
Shared Resources’ Recycle Bin also accepts donations of new equipment.
In today’s world, basic computer literacy is an essential component of community success. With one phone call, you can help provide the opportunity to learn, and to succeed.
Thank you in advance for your help.
